For years, Bloom in New York City has been a destination for luxurious floral arrangements. But in the midst of the COVID-19 crisis, Bloom needed to leverage its delivery and shipping capabilities to increase its e-commerce sales as traffic to its brick-and-mortar retail store decreased.

Our task was twofold: first, figure out how to reach existing retail customers who could no longer shop in person, and then learn how to efficiently and effectively find new online consumers. Once we discovered exactly where each of these groups lived, both geographically and online, we created a highly targeted digital campaign that advertised Bloom’s shipping capabilities, letting customers know they could get a little piece of their old city lives delivered right to their front doors.

Thanks to a refreshed e-commerce website and a highly targeted paid media campaign, Bloom’s online orders have increased 127% YOY. Visitors to the website are up 110%, and users have spent 112% more time on the site. Bloom’s e-commerce conversion rate has also increased by 30%. The brand is now well-positioned to continue to grow its online business, which will be essential for navigating whatever our new normal looks like, even after a vaccine.
